Congratulations on the successful completion of the first leg of your trip. I always enjoy your show, but I was surprised that you let Jerrry Finan get away with saying, regarding the southern Phillipines, that one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter. He also couldn’t seem to think of an investment that didn’t invovle building a school.

Actually, I didn’t catch that comment about ‘freedom fighters.” If I had, I would not have let it pass. I think you’ll agree that Dr. Finan provided excellent information on the political and cultural background of The Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Palau, and the Philippines. He’s an excellent academic, not an investment expert, so I was not surprised by his responses to my investment questions. Don’t worry, we’ll be visiting with plenty of business types with no shortage of opinions on investing in the region.
