The following news release was sent through wire services nationally today, and throughout Arizona:

PHOENIX (March 13, 2007) – Keith DeGreen’s ship, The Global Adventure, begins a unique around-the-world journey April 1.

Attorney and CFP® DeGreen is a well known Arizona financial advisor and radio talk-show host, who recently sold his firm, DeGreen Wealth Management. At the time of sale, the firm had $640 million under management.

DeGreen will continue his Sunday morning radio show on the number one-rated Phoenix news talk station, Newstalk 550 KFYI by broadcasting from aboard the ship. He has also established a Web site, www.theglobaladventure.com, which features videos, photos and commentary regarding the trip.

The Global Adventure is a 55-foot Nordhavn full-displacement long-range trawler. Heavily equipped with communications gear, it is also a floating communications beacon.

“We’re dedicated to exploring interesting locations throughout the world, and examining the economics, politics, culture, and investment opportunities at each port of call,” DeGreen said.

The ship will depart Shelter Island in San Diego at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 1 -“ just as DeGreen’s radio show ends that morning – weather permitting.

DeGreen plans to stop at more than 25 ports of call during the next 12 months. Destinations include: Shanghai (pending permission from the People’s Republic of China), Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Male (The Maldives), Dubai and Cairo near the Suez Canal. DeGreen hopes to enter the Mediterranean through the Suez Canal by April 1, 2008.

DeGreen has made elaborate arrangements with his family to stay in touch and see each other regularly throughout the year.

“Without a doubt, the toughest part of the trip is not having my family with me,” says DeGreen. “But they’ve all encouraged me to go. They’ll meet me at various locations, I’ll fly home regularly for a few days and we will be in touch everyday by video phone.”

In addition to DeGreen, The Global Adventure boasts a professional crew of two licensed captains.

DeGreen, who is no stranger to ocean navigation himself, hopes to learn plenty from his crew.

“These guys are pros. I look forward to learning from them,” DeGreen said. “And they can manage things nicely if I need to fly home or travel inland for a few days.”

The arrangement gives DeGreen an improved opportunity to focus on reporting what he finds, arrange interviews with business and political leaders wherever he goes, and stay in close touch with his family.

“It’s a big world out there with plenty to see and I’m excited to have the opportunity to offer some first-hand insight into the many places we’ll visit,” said DeGreen. “No two economies are alike and this presents a unique opportunity for American investors to learn and become more effective on an international scale.”

The Global Adventure is equipped with a sophisticated onboard broadcast studio and audio-video edit suite. DeGreen hopes this equipment will empower him to not only broadcast his radio show and provide content for his Web site, www.theglobaladventure.com, but also to provide content for other end-user media outlets – all from anywhere in the world.

“Over the past 18 years on KFYI, we’ve discussed very specific investment and estate planning techniques,” said DeGreen. “Now, we are taking a more global view as we analyze individual pieces of the world economy. Our goal is to empower our listeners and Web site visitors to make informed choices about their international portfolio.”

DeGreen’s radio program airs in Phoenix Sundays from 8 to 11 a.m. on Newstalk 550 KFYI. It can also be heard from anywhere by streaming audio online at www.kfyi.com. Each show is posted to DeGreen’s Web site within hours of its initial broadcast.

DeGreen’s site, www.theglobaladventure.com, features video from 12 onboard cameras, audio programming and podcasts of DeGreen’s radio show, photos from the crew’s experiences at both port and sea, and a section titled “Keith’s Blog” where people can read, and respond to, on-going professional analysis and personal observations from the journey.

Following The Global Adventure’s initial 12-month voyage, DeGreen plans to continue the adventure at additional distant ports of call indefinitely.
